STEM+ enrichment class
Waverley Public School introduced a High Potential Gifted Education (HPGE) class for students in Years 5 and 6, which commenced in 2026. The enrichment class promotes engagement and challenge, with a focus on growing academic achievement across the curriculum. Learning has a particular focus on the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
Building on strong practices, the class maximises learning through an enriched or extended curriculum.
This is a full-time enrichment class. The learning is developed to challenge high potential and gifted students in Years 5 and 6 beyond the typical level of same-aged students.
